about

I am 2012 graduate of East Stroudsburg University. I majored in Media Communications and Technology with a minor in English Writing and graduated with a GPA of 3.54. I have worked on television and film productions, as well as various graphic design pieces such as brochures, flyers, newsletters, program books, invitations, postcards, web pages, banner ads and many others. I also have had articles published in the Stroud Courier, which is ESU's school newspaper.

I was born in Pheonixville, PA and grew up in Levittown, PA. I grew up with my mother, father and sister. I enjoy traveling, concerts, music and movies. I am very much involved in charity fundraising, specifically breast cancer foundations. I’ve participated in the Breast Cancer Mother’s Day 5k in Philadelphia every year since 2009. In October 2012, I participated as a walker in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day 60-Mile Race for the Cure in Philadelphia. Since then, I have participated serveral times as a crew member in San Francisco and Philadelphia for the 60-Mile walk.

My love for Graphic Design began in middle school when I discovered photography. I then took a photography class in high school where I learned Photoshop, and it grew from there. I fell in love with designing layouts and creating designs that people loved. I entered ESU as an Undeclared major, and as soon as I toured the Media Communications department and saw all that it offered, I knew it was for me.

I held a position as a deli clerk/caterer in Levittown for almost five years where my communications and problem solving skills greatly enhanced. I experienced customer service on all levels and learned how to work in a fast-paced, and at times, a high-stress environment. In January 2012, I began interning at a Graphic Design/Sales & Marketing company in Newtown, which I held a position at until December 2012. There, I learned how to take my design skills and combine it with my ability to handle working in a fast-paced environment, while also learning how a business is run. Since December 2012, I have been working full time at a background screening company in Warminster. I started as a Public Records Researcher and was then promoted in March of 2014 to the Applicant Services department. During my time at Vertical Screen, I have also been working on my own as a freelance graphic and web designer.

I believe my passion for graphic design shines through the work I have done and seeing a piece of work that I designed in someones hand or on someones computer screen is what keeps me loving it. Any opportunity that would allow me to keep doing what I love or even allow me to branch out and learn something new would be a perfect fit for me. Résumé and cover letter available upon request.
